It's been a long time coming. I finally achieved what I never thought I would ever do in my life.

I was never the athlete nor was I into being so active. Back in the day, my kind of active were binge-watching Gossip Girl and stalking boys at soccer games (I came from an all-girls school so boys were a new territory for me). I was that much of a "weirdo", you could say.

Fast forward to the present and my kind of active now is the gym, running and actually living a more active lifestyle. Running was initially just a workout that I would do when going to the gym wasn't the option.

But I had a friend who entered into the world of the triathlete. It got me interested when he told me about his training routine and the determination it takes to be a triathlete. And in particular, when we talked about running.

That's when the desire to train for a half marathon started. And finally, after a grueling 6-month training, I finally am able to say that "I AM A 21K FINISHER".

Sofitel Manila Half Marathon 2016 was the race event I joined for my first 21k.

To top it all of, I finished my first 21K in under 2 hours. My official time has yet to be posted and will keep you updated on what it is when the official race results come out.

People weren't wrong to say about the feeling of fulfillment after finishing a half marathon. Halfway through my run, I got really emotional out of the blue because I WAS ACTUALLY running a 21K. Who in the world thought that a girl like me could actually run a half marathon and finish in under 2 hours???

That moment actually proved to me that anything can happen if you really set your mind and heart to it. All I could think throughout that run was to "finish, finish, finish. You paid for this run, you trained for this run, now you finish this run." And I did- I couldn't feel my legs after but I did it. I can finally say I am a half marathoner!

My #roadto21k has been ticked off but this won't be the end. I'll be joining other half marathons in the coming months and would train me to my #roadto42k. So back to my training plan. I'll try to blog about my #roadto42k while I can if you guys are interested in joining the bandwagon.

And come February 17, 2017, I'll be ready to run my first ever full marathon.

So, I'll see you at the finish line.

What better way to celebrate Halloween season than with a party, candies and superhero/princess-clad kids.

There's always going to be that "Awwww" moment seeing a kid walk by with his superhero suit ready to save the day or a fairy princess spreading pixie dusts. Well, that happened at the party.

The team and I had 3 weeks to prepare for the big event; 3 weeks to hustle, hustle, hustle all while juggling our day-to-day workload activities. Pretty stressful, I have to say just because I had to lead this party and make it successful as possible. But with my teammates' efforts and support nonetheless,  all the breakouts, the eyebags, the stress were DEFINITELY worth it. I could cry a river on how proud I am on the outcome of the party: kids had all the candies they could've imagined, games and movies to destress (haha!) and a day for kids to be their own superhero and princess.

There isn't much photos. I was too preoccupied during the party (I was the photographer...and other multiple jobs, as well) haha! But, please appreciate what you see haha! :)

I hope you guys get to dress up this coming Halloween. I know I will, watch out. Coming soon!

S/O to my MAP 18 babies: Anna, Camille, Faith, Tricia and Vic!

Top from LAX Apparel | Shorts from Forever 21

You can never go wrong with off-shoulder tops and pastel colors. I got to snag this one-of-a-kind piece; you don't get to see this print around which makes it all the more special. Perfect for a day turn night out piece.

Birthday's coming up, still wondering what I'd be doing for the big 21?

It's the middle of May and I forgot to mention that I FINALLY GRADUATED COLLEGE. Yes, no more four walls of green-colored uniforms and overbearing teachers. But hello to the real world. Yes, welcome to unemployment life (however, I'm still waiting on this job I have yet to hear from!). But enough about that. After graduation, there's this season called summer and we all know what first comes to mind with this season, BEACH.
Here's to the first adventure of the year with the family at one of the most visited places in the Philippines. Revisiting this place of pure nature and history after 7 years with the best people to hang around with.
It's pretty much a challenge to find the perfect background to take outfit shots. I have a fair share of looking for the perfect place to take photos where no one is around and you've got the place to you and your photographer. Luckily, I finally found one place that I instantly fell for.
Hats off to welcome 2015 with my
Back last October, my parents came home bringing box that homed two of the most adorable things I have ever seen in my life.
I feel like a cross between a beach bum and a Moroccan princess with this getup.

7,107 islands of the Philippines and I'm in one of them. I promised a photo diary of my Sumilon adventures so here it is. Okay, so Sumilon island. Best be in your seeking-for-adventure mood cause the first thing we did was go trekking around the island. And thank goodness for the resort on the island for giving us some flag guides along our trail,
Trekking around the island was a bit of a challenge. There were some pretty tough, steep, and sharp rocks to walk on. Luckily, I was smart enough to bring my Nike shoes to keep my feet wound-free. Trekking made me sweat...a lot a lot. But it was good exercise plus those breathtaking views of the island.
The trekking site gave us a 360 view of the whole view of the sea and the island itself as well. We passed by the crystal blue marine sanctuary that the people of Oslob has preserved for the corals and the fishes, went into some cave and a lighthouse. Sadly, I have yet to find those lighthouse, cave pictures. Haha! I'm no ultimate tree-hugger but I do care about nature and seeing the island makes me even appreciate these creations even more. (excuse my sentiments!)
So that's the first part of my Sumilon adventures. More to come on this beautiful island!
Up next: the sandy beach!

Finally putting some layering skills to the test in what I thought was a
I've always been an admirer for tv, films and celebrities. I am OBSESSED with watching trailers that really get to me, you know. By "get to me", I mean really making me react to every emotion I could possibly think of- from crying balls of tears to discretely laughing my guts out in the office room. Speaking of trailers, I wanna share to you guys some "trailer finds" that I really really REALLY enjoyed and I would really really REALLY want to watch. The acting, the screenplay, the actors and the soundtrack all made these trailers at the top of the must-watch movies in my list. I don't know about you, but these are my favorites so far.

1. This Is Where I Leave You (Jane Fonda, Jason Bateman and Tina Fey)

With a cast like this, this family dramedy movie will surely pack a punch of emotions. I love family movies, and this trailer was a fun one. I love it when siblings just go back to their roots- to their home.

2. Laggies (Keira Knightley and Chloe Grace Moretz)

An all-American Keira Knightley. That's all I can say!!!

3. Gone Girl (Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris)

Crimes, murder mysteries, betrayal, love, investigations-gosh!- my kind of #moviegasm. Watch Ben Affleck become the most hated man in America in Gone Girl.

4. Men, Women & Children (Jennifer Garner, Adam Sandler and Ansel Elgort)

Even being surrounded with modern communication, social media, technology, people still feel so lonely or alone in today's world. A star-studded cast makes up a powerful movie without having to mutter any words.

5. The Judge (Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duvall and Billy Bob Thornton)

Even just the trailer itself, it definitely is going to be tearjerker movie for the family, especially to a father-child relationship. I'm always a softy when it comes to family drama movies especially when an estranged family member gets involved and has to rekindle the relationship with the family. This is a whole different side of RDJ, definitely no Iron Man here. Haha! And not to mention Academy Award Winner Robert Duvall as RDJ's estranged judge dad.

6. The Theory of Everything (Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones)

This trailer! This trailer, I just can't. Feelings of blissful tears, hope and love just made me really smile and look forward for this movie. Eddie Redmayne gives an all-out performance as the genius that is Stephen Hawking.

7. Love, Rosie (Lilly Collins and Sam Claflin)

I mean we've all seen stories of unrequited love, friends turn into lovers and all those romantic movies/stories out there. Love, Rosie is one of these stories. But what makes it stand out is the journey of these two best friends, despite some challenges, manages to keep in touch and love each other. Idk if they'd end up with each other- all the more that I would want to watch this movie. Plus Sam Claflin is here so yeah.

8. Final Girl (Abigail Breslin)

You don't normally think of Abigail Breslin as some badass buttkicking killer b*****. Think again. And she's blonde and all-grown up too. Last I remember, she was 10 years old, nominated for an Oscar with her pink little dress. How time flies.

Okay, so far I hope you guys like what I chose. I hope some tears and fears came out of your system...I hope! The list still goes on but so far these are my top 8 favorite, must-watch trailers for 2014. I suggest you read one of the sources I found that got me hooked to some of these trailers.

I'm open to more trailer suggestions and movie suggestions as well. I love love love discovering new art, new screenplay and a new creative mind.

Till next time loves!
