The break that I desperately need is here. Hello, sembreak!
Now I get to focus on my blog and take more outfit shots. Here's my long overdue outfit shot way back in September on my parents' anniversary sans dad.
Lace Crop Top from Fash Ion | Sheer Black Midi Skirt from Forever 21 | Turquoise Ring from WAGW

Their anniversary fell on a Sunday so Church was the first agenda to do. I picked out a classic colorblocking outfit of a white laced crop top and sheer black skirt to complement the top. I chose my favorite WAGW turquoise ring to add a pop of color to my outfit and finish it off with ribbon flats. I also tried to test out my makeup skills by putting on myself some Egyptian-inspired eyeliner makeup. What do you think? Needs more practice?

I'll be posting soon where my family and I ate for the anniversary.

My family and I took my grandmother for her 87th birthday at this French restaurant in Cebu, La Maison Rose (The Pinkhouse Restaurant). My grandmother isn't a big fan of foreign dishes but I told her about this mantra that people has now been using, YOLO (You Only Live Once). Haha! What choice could she make, I've called in for reservations already. So we dove into the moment of being French for a day. Bon appetit, I must say.

As for my outfit, I went with the quirky/dainty kind of look to match with the theme of French cuisine. I opted for my chiffon Peter Pan-collared blouse and red layered shorts to show off my sweet and girly side. Finishing it off with some silver flats so as not to outshine the beloved celebrant's special day and give my whole look a sparkle and shine.
It's never a French cuisine experience without having the chance to eat their delicacy, their escargot aka snails; add in some profiteroles and caviar for starters as well. For the entree, my mother and I ordered the fish dish (practicing the lifestyle of being pescatarian and all!) which unfortunately couldn't remember. My sister tried the Truffle Coquilette Pasta, which was divinely tasteful, thank goodness; and as for the celebrant, she got the chicken dish, which I also forgot, unfortunately (sacre bleu!).

Pardon for my rusty modelling skills, the camera doesn't love me.

I finally found the time (not to mention guts!) to do a photoshoot. Jana Baduel is an up and coming photographer and a good friend of mine who took the chance of taking my first photos for my first ever blog post (finally!)
Caution: My modelling skills are rusty, bare with me. And I've got braces, too. :|
A gift from the Fashion gods has come down forth and it chose me. I finally got my own pair of Dr. Martens boots in black and what better way to wear them than a photoshoot. The theme of the shoot was Urban Hippie. So I've decided to pair up my boots with a mullet maxi floral dress to bring out the hippie and fun side of my outfit.
I made sure that accessories weren't all too colorful so as not to outshine the dress and because I wanted to make up with urban-y feeling. Nonetheless, I added the Peace sign bracelet to the touch for a little bit of hippie vibe.

A change of outfit, I went for the tomboy feel. I paired up my one-shoulder Grecian-like dress with my sister's Chuck Taylors and sequined beret.
